Review: Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Lotion

This is not actually an review but more like sharing my unusual encounter with this product. I've seen a really detailed review from everbluec's blog so do check her blog out.

I got this product together with the essence on an impulse while I was on transit at Changi Airport. What actually convinced me to buy it, is because I saw the sticker that says that the product is sold 1 in 30 seconds. I'm not usually that easy to convince with some random sales pitch but I herd about the brand Hada Labo before from one of the blogs I visit.

Anyway, I was excited to try this product. The first thing I did was of course read the instruction at the back of the label which says exactly this " Directions: Use twice a day after cleansing the face. Apply on the palms and gently pat onto skin until throughly absorbed." . Like all lotions I've used , I  poured an "significant" amount on my palms then rub them together and pat.  To my astonishment, my face became slippery like as when you apply a cleanser to your face slippery then sticky. After a few seconds, it eventually dried up and my face became shinny moisturized and smooth. I really liked how my face looked and felt ( thoroughly moisturized) . I also really liked that it was odorless too. All in all, it was all love with this product. After few days ,I then decide to make some research to know more about the product. It turned out that I'm only supposed to apply 2 to 3 drops of the product so that it won't feel so slimy on my face. I found out that Japanese lotion is used not like moisturizing creams I normally use but more like rehydrating cream after cleansing. Japanese lotions prepares the skin to absorb the essences and the normal creams better. Personally,  I'd use this product as a normal moisturizer alone as it was good enough to moisturize my skin.

Overall: I'd repurchase this again and again or until I find a better product than this one

Review: Isadora's graffiti nails in subway green 806

I'm not really a nail polish enthusiastic as I like my nails short. But Isadora's graffiti nail just caught my attention. I haven't seen anything like it before. I actually bought this last year 2010 but haven't taken any pictures till now.

If you go to Isadora's website, you'll find the other color range and instructions on how to use it. It might be confusing as the website has base and the graffiti nail top all together. Be sure to look only at the graffiti nail top.

My experience and tips:

•  I used a gold nail polish as a base color for my nails. You don't have to use gold. Basically all light colors such as white, yellow , pink and so on will do. Isadora has their range of base colors but  any brand will do.
• After letting my base dry  for about 30 seconds, I applied the second layer which is the Isador's graffiti subway green in 806.Wait 30 seconds for it to dry. Optional: I found the finish to be too matte for my taste so I applied a clear transparent nail polish as a third layer for a glossy finish.

 I did encounter some obstacles while painting my nails . As it drys really fast, you have to work fast. Another is that you have no control whatsoever on how those pattern will form..  It might depend on how you stroke your polish and the amount you applied. It's not really that huge deal because nail arts should have some kind of  imperfect shapes. However if you applied too little of the product , it has a tendency to look like a smudge instead of a crust like shape. I also had issue  with the brush. It basically hard to work with.. The bristles  is short and too thick. It is  hard to control and  get the "right amount" needed to form the crust like shape.

Overall: Despite its drawbacks, I think this product is fun and adorable. I like it enough and I'm thinking of getting another color. I'm interested in 808 blue burner and 810 all city brown.
